Through PharmacyWoRx, Take Action!

The time is now for the pharmacy community to demonstrate its commitment to improving patient care and providing cost-effective access to healthcare services.

PharmacyWoRx, a new non-partisan grassroots initiative undertaken by CACDS, has been launched just in time to help pharmacy and pharmacists do just that — to raise pharmacy’s voice across Canada and take positive action for its future.

Created as a grassroots networking resource, the free and openly accessible tools on the PharmacyWoRx website (www.pharmacyworx.com), make it easy for individuals to communicate directly with candidates and public office holders to educate them on the evolution of pharmacy into patient-focused healthcare hubs.

Tools housed on the website include suggestions and how-to instructions for impacting policy decisions, such as inviting candidates and public office holders for a pharmacy tour, pharmacy fast fact sheets which detail the footprint of pharmacy in your province or territory, key messages and policy summaries on issues like e-prescribing, vaccinations, and senior care. The website also includes links to all political parties and information regarding the elections in each jurisdiction.

While the launch of PharmacyWoRx focuses on the upcoming provincial elections, PharmacyWoRx will be a permanent resource and networking tool that will enable the pharmacy community to maintain a strong voice in public policy on any continuing and/or emerging issues.

Getting Involved
It’s easy to get involved with PharmacyWoRx. All members of the pharmacy community (pharmacists, technicians, front of house staff, owners, patients, managers and beyond) are encouraged to participate by visiting the website and joining the team, or becoming a PharmacyWoRx fan on Facebook, or following @PharmacyWoRx on Twitter, or all of the above.

Join CACDS in Montreal for Canada’s Premier Community Pharmacy Business Event.

The CACDS Annual Executive Exchange Conference is the premier networking event in the Canadian retail pharmacy industry. This once-a-year conference is the only event that brings together all pharmacy stakeholders, including CACDS Retail and Associate Member executives, to network and discuss future business initiatives.

As in years past, a series of Strategic Exchange Appointments will form the core of the 2012 CACDS Annual Executive Exchange Conference.  Scheduled every 30 minutes, these appointments allow Associates to host relaxed and meaningful discussions with a number of top level community pharmacy executives.
