The primary objective of CACDS is to serve its members from coast to coast. CACDS provides a wide range of services, including authoritative research and discussion forums on industry trends, representation of industry viewpoints to governments, stakeholders and the public, and co-operative initiatives with related industry sectors - all in the interest of enhancing the value of community pharmacy to consumers.

Board of Directors
The Board is elected annually at the CACDS Annual General Meeting in October.
The CACDS Board of Directors, is comprised of eleven elected members from the Council of Representatives, and the President and Chief Executive Officer of CACDS. The Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction and priorities of the organization and directing the Association’s policies.
