Member Benefits
Advocacy
CACDS effectively advocates at all levels of government to influence policy development and decision-making on issues that matter most to members. This investment in the development of public policies helps shape the long-term sustainability of community pharmacy.
CACDS promotes and advocates, on behalf of its members, for the vital role that community pharmacy plays in delivering convenient accessible healthcare services that result in better patient outcomes. To ensure that community pharmacy can continue providing effective care, CACDS engages both public and private payors to establish fair funding for dispensing and other professional pharmacy services , and also on system efficiencies to decrease costs for pharmacy owners and operators.
CACDS often works to build consensus and develop tools that further increase our influence on policy development and engages with allied trade associations on matters of mutual interest to influence and guide outcomes on behalf of our members.
CACDS creates a meaningful and constant presence with grassroots organizations and provincial associations by acting as a catalyst to unite key stakeholders, companies and organizations. The association forms inclusive relationships, alliances and strategic partnerships with other stakeholders to ensure a strong, unified, effective voice on issues of common interest.
